Wish For A Smile is a public health initiative of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists (NZAO). We work to make specialist orthodontic treatment available to young New Zealanders who would otherwise be unable to access orthodontic care.

Orthodontic treatment can make a life changing difference to a child through increased self-esteem and an optimistic future outlook. Unlike standard dental care, orthodontics is not free for young people in New Zealand.

Your contribution helps enables Wish For A Smile to play an active and positive part in giving these children a much brighter future.

As part of being accepted to the Wish For A Smile Trust, we ask that our patients volunteer with an organisation within their community for 20 hours. If you think your community organisation could help us by accepting our patients as volunteers, please contact us below.
Please note that many of our patients are under the age of 16.
